Aesthetic, cultural and moral education of the youth is one of the priority directions of the Republic of Belarus youth policy. National School of Beauty was established in 1996 under the instruction of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The main missions of the school are further aesthetic and spiritual education of the younger generation and harmonious development of the individuals.
Today, National School of Beauty is a state educational institution that provides a range of educational services on training professional models. Along with the Ministry of Culture and ONT channel, National School of Beauty is the organizer of the National beauty contest "Miss Belarus" and other Belarusian contests in the field of beauty. Also the school holds licenses for participation and organization of international beauty contests "Miss World", "Miss Europe", "Miss International", "Miss Supranational", "Mister Supranational", "Top Model Of The World" and others.
Educational process at National School of Beauty is organized in the following specializations:
- professional training with the assignment of the 4th qualification category as a "Model (clothing demonstrator)" ( state-financed and study-for-fee education);
- a training course for teenagers "School of models", "Model" without assignment of the qualification category;
- a training course for adults "School of image and style";
- children's fashion theater "KRASAVIK".
High education quality is ensured by highly qualified faculty staff. Professional stylists, makeup artists, choreographers, psychologists, photographers, runway walk teachers are working with students according to specially designed curriculum.
One of the activities of National School of Beauty is a modeling agency that provides professional models for participating in fashion shows, beauty contests, photo-, video- and promotional filming, presentations of goods and services.
A fitness center at National School of Beauty is of great popularity among the residents of Minsk. The fitness center has a well-equipped gym and an aerobics room, where professional trainers give classes on heaving exercises, pilates and so on. The modeling agency of the National School of Beauty is one of the few in Belarus that has a license to work in international modeling agencies for the frontier.
National School of Beauty regularly hosts art and photo exhibitions, fashion shows, photo and video shootings, concerts, festivals and presentations.
